Once I stayed logged out of the console session I have been able to connect successfully with Horizon and work every day. I couldn't do anything on the computer and ended up having to issue a shutdown.exe command from another workstation to reboot it. I could connect but just see a black screen. Once disconnected I could no longer use my PC with TeamViewer or RDP. The black screen actually seemed like a crash. I did the same scenario with my own workstation and didn't get the message that he saw-only a black screen. These two updates seem to apply only to 1903 and not 1909. They suggested that I ensure that 2 critical KB patches are installed: KB4517211 and KB4520390, otherwise a black screen may appear. RDP is the only protocol available to Pro. They suggested that I use Blast, but the Blast protocol is only available with Enterprise. They suggested that I ensure all updates are applied. Pro will likely work, but Enterprise supported. The first message came back from the support technician that said that only Windows 10 Enterprise is supported. Caution: If you log out, any unsaved work could be lost. You can reconnect to your desktop with the current protocol or you can log out and reconnect with the protocol you selected. This desktop is open on the server but it is running a different protocol. The user goes home and logs into Horizon and attempts to connect to the PC. The user does not log off his PC at night and leaves applications open on the console. Computer running Windows 1909 Pro, current on all updates.
#VMWARE HORIZON VIEW CLIENT MOUSE DISAPPEARS UPGRADE#
We had tried this in the past unsuccessfully, but the recently-released agent upgrade has made this possible. I submitted a help desk ticket for this, but assume other admins may be seeing the same.Ī worker has a computer in the office that we wanted to enable in Horizon using a physical desktop pool.
